A devoted single mother and proud business owner, Dawn's strength and spirit were apparent to all. She helped many clients through their insurance challenges, fiercely defending their rights. She was an independent woman who showed compassion to those she knew well and even those she did not.
A deeply spiritual person, Dawn nurtured her relationship with God daily and shared His love with those around her. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, and sharing laughter and positivity with everyone she could. Her home was always a place of connection, joy, and her famous 'all-natural' meals.
Dawn is survived by her daughter, Tara Parisi; mother, Yvonne LaMontagne; and sisters: Deborah Kirshman and Theresa Tom. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Somma.
A memorial gathering for Dawn will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 12pm-2pm with a memorial service at 2pm at Kaul Funeral Home in Clinton Township. The family request guests to dress vibrant and colorfully the way Dawn loved to express herself to help celebrate her memory.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SAY Detroit (saydetroit.org) in her memory.
