Diane Broomfield, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, September 16, 2024 surrounded by her husband and two sons after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 60 years old.
Diane was born August 14, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan to Elaine Foster. She married her beloved husband, Gary Broomfield, on May 27, 1983.
Always putting others first, Diane worked as a caregiver for 20 years. She enjoyed spending days with loved ones at the beach and watching sunsets, or tending to her beautiful home garden. Diane spent countless evenings laughing the night away with friends and family over games of cards; making sure the table was never too small to add any player that wished to join.
Diane is survived by her husband, Gary Broomfield; sons, Jason (Lisa) Broomfield and Kevin (Cynthia) Broomfield; two sisters, Julie (Bob) Downey and Laura (Tim) Wallace; mother Elaine Foster; and several nieces and nephews. She is a cherished Gigi to three grandchildren: McKenna, Maverick, and Luca.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan.
