I’m so sad to hear of “Clark’s” passing and yet so grateful that I had her in my life. My fondest memories are the 4 years I spent in Modern Dance at LCHS. She was an amazing, eloquent woman, whose inspiration, motivation, and guidance helped all of us to aspire to be better women ourselves. I know I am a better woman for having known her. My prayers go out to all of you and I hope you may find comfort in knowing how many lives she touched.

Clark was a wonderfully creative teacher; positive and honest.  I have very fond memories from modern dance at L'Anse Creuse.  She always struck me as someone who really LIVED life.  She will be missed.  My condolences to the family, you are in my thoughts.

Clark touched the lives of so many students, from myself and years later to my children.  Yes, she worked at L'Anse Creuse that long.  We all learned some of the more important things about life from her.  She will never be forgotten.  They should build a whole new school and name it after her!

Sorry to hear of Mrs. Clark's passing.  She was my youth counselor at Redemption years ago and I ran into her at the butterfly house at the zoo many years later.  She was so much fun and such a dear.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

She was an amazing person!  For only having the great honor of knowing her for such a short 2 yrs. she so enriched my life.  The unconditional love that she displayed was constant, a giving heart that never stopped giving, an ear that never stopped  listening and a shoulder that was always there to lean on....what a great lose for those who loved her. My prayers to the family. "Clark" was the most wonderful teacher in the world. She was kind and always lent a hand, arm, ear, whatever a student needed. I graduated from LCHS 1984. She used to tell me I was a "marshmellow" --- hard on the outside and soft on the inside, boy did she have me pegged. She touched so many people, I know this world as well as the class of 1984 - we are better people because of her..... What a hero --- thanks for touching my life, rest in peace. I am so sorry for your (our) loss. The world is a lesser place because she is gone but is richer because she was here. I was fortunate to have her as a teacher (counseler, friend) at LCHS in the late 70's. Her door and heart were always open, no questions asked. I was lucky enough to see her a couple years ago at a reunion and she hadn't changed one bit. What a truly special and caring person!

I will always remember Dee's humor and love as she was a precious influence for me at L'Anse Creuse and then for my son at L'Anse Creuse.  She was the inspiration for my huggable teenage boy at a time when teens aren't always so huggable.  What a blessing her life was to so many.

I am so sad to here of Mrs. Clark's passing, but so blessed to have been one of her many fortunate students. I will forever be grateful for one of her "small" acts of kindness. My senior yearbook was stolen while at school. Mrs. Clark stayed after school, rummaging through garbage cans and turning that school upside down for me. That act was so much more than simply finding a yearbook. In that moment, I felt like I was her world - like nothing else mattered. She modeled the type of unselfish compassion and caring that as a teacher now myself, I strive to pass on to my own students. If I can make one student feel as I did on that day, I can consider my career a success. 
Heaven became an even more beautiful place on January 24th. Blessings to your your family.

My condolences. I have many fond memories of "Clark". She helped the awkward 14-year-old adjust to high school life many years ago. She will be missed.

Mrs. Clark was one of the only teachers who treated us like real people,she was quick with her famous hugs and always the first to stick up for the students as a matter of fact she decided in 1986 to show our class the movie Breakfast Club and as I remember it,she was in a bit of trouble because the powers at be thought it was not appropriate.Well thank god she stood her ground and showed it anyway,we as a class learned that day that Mrs.Clark could see the whole picture,and would do anything to make sure we had an adult outlook on life.And for me personaly, she picked myself and another couple of students to be part of a peer education project that went to other schools and talked about sex education,suicide and other important topics to young people.That was an incredible experience and one that helped to shape the man I have become.So in conclusion Let it be said that "Clark" cared more than most she loved as much as anyone could ask and she gave many many young people the skills to go out into this world and become good caring people.You be missed but never forgotten.

It was an honor to have known Mrs. Clark.  I'm so happy to have had her as a teacher before she retired.  She taught me so many live lessons that I still use daily.  I will never forget her!

Mrs. Clark (or Clark as we called her) was the most easy to talk to teacher I have ever had.  She taught more than physical ed and dance, she taught a person how to have self-confidence.  What an awesome lady.  She will be truly missed.  My sympathies to her family.  She made many students "happy" when she was around!!

Mrs. Clark was certainly one in a millon.  She was genuine and always fair.  My sisters, Konnie and Karilyn, as well as myself, were blessed to have her as one of the best teachers in our lives.  I know she'll be missed.

Clark, thanks for being an amazing teacher, teaching real life lessons to punky teenagers who hung on your every word. My husband is a sociology teacher and we often reference Clark's class for ideas :)

After not seeing Mrs. Clark for almost 30 years I was fortunate enough to attend her retirement party.  After that I saw her periodically at different places (usually with Mrs. McCarthy).  Clark, thanks for being such a great role model for so many and for making my high school years so memorable.  (LCHS Class of 1967).

She will always hold a special place in my heart -  my prayers are with the family.......maybe just maybe there is a teaching job open in heaven!!

Ms. Clark, This is so extremely sad. When I look back to High School I must say you were the absolute Best Teacher hands down. There are 2 teachers that touched my life My 1st grade teacher Ms. Stenzel and you My 12th grade Psychology teacher. Back in 1988-1989 You made us write a paper about our life and a few weeks ago I was going through some things my mom saved and that was one of them. I read it and immediately thought about you and what an awesome teacher you were and how you were always their to listen. I'm sure you are in Heaven and making a great impact on everyone there. SO many peoples lives were touched by you and I would like to extend my condolences to your family for such a "Great Loss".
