Dolores I. Duggan, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024. She was known for her selflessness, always putting others before herself. After the passing of her husband, Dolores raised six children on her own, ensuring they were surrounded by love and enriched with experiences. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times. Dolores was an avid bowler and had a passion for reading and crafts, especially making beautiful flower arrangements. She enjoyed watching home improvement shows on HGTV and had a love for roller skating in her youth. She was a spirited celebrator of St. Patrick’s Day, embodying the festive spirit each year with her children.
Dolores will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, dedication, and faith will continue to inspire those who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Duggan, with whom she shared 16 years of marriage. Dolores was a devoted mother to Mary Duggan, Sheilagh (the late Bobby) Mathis, Kelly (Terry) Gosdzinski, Shannon (Jim) Krupitzer, the late Eileen Duggan, and Michael (Carrie) Duggan. She was a cherished grandmother to Amy (Alex Kwapis) Mathis, Katy (Dave) Donovan, the late Jacob Mathis, Brian (Kori) Krupitzer, Kevin Krupitzer, MaKayla Duggan, Rylie Duggan, Shane Duggan, Evan Gosdzinski, and Carly Gosdzinski. Dolores was also a proud great-grandmother to Keira and Maeve. She was the dear sister of Shirley Gobel, the late Geraldine Ledford and the late William Randall.
A visitation for Dolores will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 am.
