Donald Megge

Don's biggest passion was the love he had for his family. His strongest desire was to protect and take care of his wife and children. This selfless love extended to his loving wife Susan, his children Erin (Patrick) Fahey, Kyle (Julie) Grager, and Gabby, as well as his Grandchildren Dylan, Landon, and Sophia. Don's was the son of Rita Megge and the late Raymond, Brother of Donna Megge, and the late Enzo, Dianne (Ed) Erny, and Sheri (Joe) Rinna. Son-in-law of the late William and Joanne Pietrangelo, Brother-in-law to Nancy (Patrick) McBride, Carol (Andy) Opaleski, Patrick (Chris) Pietrangelo, Mary (Dick) Owston, and Amy (John) Turney, he is the Nephew of Audrey (Bob) Baumgart, Norma Szczesny, Kenneth(Sophie) Megge, Dennis (Dolly) Megge and Delphine (Mike) Briskey; also survived by many Nieces, and Nephews, extended family and many great friends. Don will be remembered for his quick wit and the ability to make everybody he met laugh; he was always the life of every party. There isn't a single person Don didn't put before his own needs and desires, and many people learned some beautiful lessons from him. Don's wife, Sue, often told anyone who would listen that Don was truly the love of her life, and their love story is rare and beautiful. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2015, 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes, Clinton Township, Mi and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of mass 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his grandson's school, Glen H. Peters School, 46650 Heydenreich, Macomb, MI 48044 in Don's Grandson's honor would be appreciated.
