Donnie was born December 8th, 1981 in Warren, MI to Donald Syrowik and Kathy Loomis. Donnie grew up in Clinton Township and Fraser, Michigan and later graduated from Dakota High School. After Graduation, a few years later, he decided he wanted to serve our country and joined the United States Marine Corp. Donnie was a proud Marine and earned the highest ranking as an expert Marksman. While he was in the military he became the proud father of two beautiful sons Donnie and Nathan.
Since Donnie was young he's had a love for hip hop music and loved to freestyle rap for everyone any chance he could. Once he became a follower of Christ he turned his passion into a mission and ministry. Donnie began writing and performing songs of his testimony and the word of God in hopes to bring others closer to God and be saved. In this time he became known as "Disciple Tha Don", and he lived up to that name for sure. Donnie took every opportunity he could to share God's word with others any chance he got, he was always trying to help or lift others up even when he himself may have been struggling. He was amazing at it, more than he ever knew. A scripture he shared and held close to his heart to help him was Philippians 4:8. Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- Think about those things.
Donnie is survived by his loving mother Kathy Loomis, two sons Donnie and Nathan, sister Sabrina Rumph (Brian Rumph), nephews and nieces Tyler, Brianna, Ariana, Savanna, Keegan and Bennett, Grandmother Dorothy Maley as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Donnie was preceded in death by his Father Donald Syrowik, and grandparents Joan and Donald Syrowik, and Don and Kay Maley.
A visitation for Donnie will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Church, 44625 Schoenherr Road, in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church on Friday, April 8, 2022 beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
