We are shocked and sad to learn of Don's death.  He and Joanne were always wonderful neighbors and will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Mr Wildes passing. I grew up and still live a few houses down from him and he always would smile and wave to us and as kids he would let us walk through his backyard to get to thw courts to play tennis (with their permission as well). His smile and wave will surely be missed. Wish I could have gotten to know him better.

Truly a loss.  Don was a workmate, college schoolmate, and he and JoAnn were neighbors and social friends for close to fifty years.  Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Dawn, his brother Bob and their families during this time of trial.  May he rest in peace.

One of my best memories of Don is the term paper he wrote in college. What made it amusing was how Don took a physical deformity and turned it into humor.
   The paper explained how an injury to his left-hand baby finger bent it to a position where every time he meant to hit the letter "a" it ended up as letter "q."
    It was a great read and we all enjoyed the "lighter side" of a great guy. 


Oh dear brother, you were too well loved to ever be forgotten.  While I shed tears, even as I write this, I smile because you were a part of my life and have left so many memories.  
You touched our lives in so many ways and I will always be so very grateful for the memories/stories/antics you have left with Emily and Eric. 
I just wasn't done with you yet...

I want to thank Don for allowing me to be a big part of his life the last several years, Don is a father figure, a friend and one of the most generous people I have ever met.  He taught me many things, how to be handy with a tractor, that you don’t actually drive through the mud when you dumping leaves at the dump, who knew?  Always keep dog treats in your pocket, you never know when Opie might need a snack! Always wait for Dawn to leave the room before grabbing another cookie or other goodies! 
You have left me with a lifetime of memories in a short amount of time, Thanks for everything Big guy! You will be missed!

When I was a kid I would always tell my Dad I wanted to grow up to be a lawyer or a businessman like him. He was adamant about ensuring I became proficient at two things if that was the path I wanted to take. One- learn golf and be decent at it.  He had his clubs cut down for me when I was 7.  We would go to Barrymores on countless occasions and hit buckets of balls on the weekends. He would even encourage me by holding my head down and saying do not stop looking at that ball!  Two- when I was 16 he told me that I needed to learn to “drink a real drink on the rocks” if I was going to be in the business world.  He had me taste test gin, whiskey, bourbon and then we landed on vodka- Absolut was the winner.  And to this day I can hold my own on golf and still drink vodka on the rocks. I received  plenty of invites to golf As I was one of the small number of females that played golf.   Many deals were closed on the golf course over the years. So this is a heartfelt thank you to my Dad who was forward thinking enough to have his daughter learn golf in the 70’s and drink a “real” drink in the 80’s.  A loud golf clap and all my love.  Thanks Dad

Don and Joanne were our neighbors. We could not ask for better neighbors or friends. We will miss Don.
