Edward was born on July 11, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to Edward E. and Bernice V. Kaczmarek. He was raised in Livonia and graduated from Redford High School. He went on to build a long career in tool and die sales, working for many years with Classic Design until the company’s closure, and continuing in the industry with various other companies until his retirement at the age of 65.
Edward found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially bird watching, landscaping, and tending to his flower gardens. He also had a passion for toy car modeling and took great pride in his 1979 Fiat, often attending specialty car shows where he could share his enthusiasm with others.
He will be remembered for the love he shared with those around him. Edward was deeply loved and cared for by friends and neighbors. Above all, he took great pride in his children and grandsons, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Edward is survived by his children, Christine Kaczmarek and Kimberily (William) Jenkins; his grandsons, Leon and Desmond Jenkins; and his siblings, James (Fran) Kaczmarek, Carol (John) Karo, and Patricia Kaczmarek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward E. and Bernice Kaczmarek, and his sister, Joni.
Funeral services for Edward will be private.
