Heaven has gained a beautiful soul with Erma.  When I met her for the first time she welcomed me so lovingly.  She made me feel like a part of the family and Mom Smith loved family with all her heart.  This was reflected in the meals she made and the cards and gifts she gave.  The biggest gift was her beautiful smile.  The most important person in her life was her daughter Sherri.  Erma loved spending time with Sherri but also encouraged her to enjoy life.  It was so awesome to see Erma shine when Sherri would tell her about our travels together. I will miss her smile but I know she is with Jim now and all her loved ones who have passed before her.  Love you Mom Smith!

I will always hold my dear Aunt in the depths of my heart.

Aunt Erma always showed up for her family!

Erma was a wonderful woman of God who put her faith into practice.  I'll always remember the cards and phone calls of encouragement especially on mom's (Elvira's) birthdays. There is one memory in particular that comes to light. Erma took mom to her eye specialist appointment and the weather became very nasty.  It soon turned into a torenetial downpour and Erma got soaked trying to assist mom into the car.  Not exactly showers of blessing.  It was a very unpleasant experience but Erma never once complained about it.  She just took it in stride.

It was a pleasure to know you and do your hair on Saturday mornings.

My prayers and love are with you at this difficult time of loss of your precious Mother.  I pray for God to wrap you in His arms of comfort and peace as you walk through this journey in the days and months to come.  
Hold on to those cherish moments from both mom & dad that made you the wonderful woman you are.

I know I'll cherish how mom gave so much of her love, advice and prayers for me, and so many of our talks over the decades.  Just as you once said, the same is for me, I was welcomed into your hearts and home.  I was blessed to have been given another mother & father. 

 I'll be praying that in time your sorrow is replaced by wonderful memories of the heart.

My dear friend Erma,   I miss you so much and hope to see you and Jim again. Thanks for all the wonderful friendship your family has given me  and all the fun planting flowers you loved.
