

Ferne L. Jack, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2015. Ferne married Donald McCormick on July 20th, 1944 and he died in March of 1968. She then married Lawrence Jack in July of 1975 and he died in December of 1997. Ferne leaves behind her children; Donald (Glea) McCormick of Roseville, Betsy Redlawsk of Coleman, Margaret “Peg” McCormick of Sterling Heights, Lillian Craig of Warren, Judy (Billy) Willoughby of Ocala, FL and Sally (Tom) Gaff of Chesterfield Twp, step children; Jackie (Al) Hackert of Grass Lake, Jeff Jack of Shelby, Joanna Jack of Hazel Park, Jon Jack of Texas and Jill (Robert) Cleghorn of Ohio, siblings; Viola Delaney of Illinois, Dorothy Darwin of Wisconsin, Lois Bradley of Utah and Glennard Delaney of Florida, sister in laws; Eileen Delaney of Illinois and Delores Delaney of Illinois, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Edna Delaney as well as 15 of her siblings.
Ferne was a lifetime member of the VFW. She was the President of the Fraser VFW 6691 Ladies Auxillary and transferred to Post 9021 VFW Village Stinson in Warren. Ferne held all dept. positions of the Ladies Auxillary at stages throughout her life. She volunteered with just about anything involving VFW and veterans in general. She was a big supporter of the Veterans Hospital, she helped with the buddy poppies and was a member of the Gold Star Mothers.
Ferne helped to set up for Camp Trotter which is a free camp for veterans children. She also would help to get donations for cancer committees as well. Ferne was 1 of 20 children.
Ferne will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will take place at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd. Clinton Twp, MI 48035 on Tuesday, December 29 from 3-8 with a VFW service at 7 pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30 at 10 am. Interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
