
Frank A. Rupp, age 97, passed away on August 5, 2024 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Born on February 4, 1927, in Mansfield Ohio, Frank led a rich and fulfilling life marked by his service, career, and love for his family.
During World War II, Frank served as a Navy Airman, an experience that remained a proud part of his identity throughout his life. Following his military service, he embarked on a longstanding career at General Motors in the Cadillac division, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact.
Frank was a passionate enthusiast of convertibles and enjoyed driving every day. His love for Formula 1 auto racing was unmatched, and his caring nature made him a beloved father and friend.
He leaves behind a loving family: daughter Lesa Layman and son-in-law Michael Layman; son Steven Rupp and daughter- in-law Diann Rupp; grandsons Steven Rupp Jr., Bryan Rupp, and Gregg Rupp; great-grandchildren Collin and Sydney. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Rupp, and son, Richard Rupp.
Contributions in Frank’s memory can be made to any veterans’ organizations, honoring his service and dedication to fellow servicemen and women.
The Kaul Funeral Home in Clinton Township, Michigan is assisting the family with arrangements. Frank’s life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a testament to his strong character and loving heart.
