Gene L. Winters, age 96, passed away October 13, 2014 in Sterling Heights, MI. She was born October 14, 1917 in Detroit. She was the wife of the late Louis. She is survived by her daughter Susan. Gene was the grand mother to Sean (Molly) Michaels, and Kelly Michaels; and great grand mother to Austin, Kamerun, Kyler, Kianna, and Carson. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Travis. Visitation will be Thursday 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at Hope United Church of Christ, 35127 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI. 48035. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope UCC for the M.C.R.E.S.T. program would be appreciated.
