Gilbert B. Price, age 89, passed away January 12, 2020. Gil was born in Ferndale and lived in Warren and Emmett, Michigan. He worked at Chrysler Corp for 45 years as a tool engineer. He was recognized as the Northeastern United States apprentice toolmaker of the year. He served in the Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Emmett VFW, Lions Club and St. John's Lutheran Church in Capac. Also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Centerline. At age 37 he bought the farm where his passion was seeing the fields planted and cattle in the barn. Having family around was very important. After living in Emmett for 40 years, he resided in Richmond the last few years of his life. Winters were spent in Florida, where they made long lasting friendships. Gil is the beloved husband of Judy Price who passed away December 25, 2019. Loving father of Craig (Marybeth) Price and Molly (Curt) Holling and father-in-law of Gina Price and Step-father of Gerald (Lori Strehl) Fraker. Proud grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of fifteen. Dearest brother-in-law of Cathy (Matthew) Haproff of Kentucky. Loving Uncle to Gabriel and Maggie. Gil is predeceased by his wife Judy and son, Kerry Price. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family. Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:30 and 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 109 E. Kempf Court, Capac, MI 48014.
