Giovanni “John” L. Salerno age 86 of Sterling Heights passed away on June 27, 2012. Loving Husband of Rosalie married for over 65 years. Dearest Father of John (Doreen) and Diane (John) Hawkins. Dear Grandfather of John (Jennifer) Salerno, David (Jennifer) Salerno, Tracci (Joe) McEvoy, Jeff Hawkins, and Matthew Salerno deceased, step-grandchildren Brandon (Nicole) Everett, Justin Everett, and 14 great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his brother Ramo Salerno and brother in law Joe Jenio. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Rosaria and siblings Aldo Salerno and Ida Jenio. Visitation will be Sunday July 1, 2012 from 3-9 at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Rd. Clinton Twp. MI 48038. Additional visitation will be Monday July 2, 2012 at 10am until the time of service at 11am at the funeral home.
