I love you Gracie 💛 My first best friend. Nothing can change that you were my first best friend. We shared so much hysterical laughter and giggles. We always had a crazy plan, whether it be putting on shows or chalk dye in our hair.  We hoped everywhere we went that someone would notice how much we looked alike and ask, “Are you two sisters?” What a thrill when we succeeded. I hold space for these memories filled with love and laughter, and they are what I will remember. 

Lord, we know that if no sparrow falls behind your compassion that you also, in this moment, inhabit our sadness. You weep with us at the world’s brokenness, what breaks our heart breaks yours. Our hearts were not prepared for this loss. Be near us God. We know with certainty that you are merciful, loving, gentle, compassionate. You care tenderly for all you have made. We know that the final working of your redemption is far reaching, encompassing all in heaven and earth, so that no good thing will be lost. We carry this weight of missing and loving Gracie to you God and ask that you comfort us. Amen.

We have many silly, beautiful memories of Grace when all the kids were little 🥹. She is an amazingly sweet girl and we are just so, so sad to hear she is no longer here 😔. So many prayers and so much love for her & your family💕🙏🏼

We met Grace in 2015 when she applied and was hired as our first employee. She presented herself with such confidence and smile that made everyone else smile.  Grace never once let her foot off the gas pedal when it came to anything she was trying to achieve. The only thing greater than her ambition to succeed was her love for those in her life. We are beyond thankful to have be able to call her a friend, to have gotten to know her amazing family and to see how happy she was with Shawn and Aaliyah.  Sending our infinite love to everyone.

My heart is shattered for Shawn, Aaliyah and Grace's family and friends. The start of our friendship got cut short but Noah tells me we would've been two peas in a pod. You were so easy to talk to and your kindness was so easy to see and feel. I am still in awe of the beautiful self care basket you made for me for my bridal shower and will treasure the Rick & Morty card you made for Noah & I for our wedding - when I opened it, I started cracking up and loved your creativity. Reality does not feel real. Beautiful girl, rest easy. You are so so dearly missed.

We can’t imagine what you are going through right now, but we will be thinking of you and we will keep you all in our prayers. 

We are so deeply saddened by this loss of such a great person. Grace was such a bright young lady who made everyone smile when she was around.  We are and will forever be changed by this. But Graces life will never be forgotten. She deserves the world to know what a tremendous heart she had for others. The love she gave so freely to so many. We have lit a candle at church for her and will continue to light one for her every time we go. We pray that Grace can be at peace now.

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter’s passing.  Please accept my deepest condolences. Though we don’t know each other, my heart goes out to  your family, and Shawn during this difficult time.  I’ve been thinking about this all week since the emergency vehicles, and family arrived  out front. Wishing those close to her the strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

My best friend, my person, my twin flame, my concert buddy, my light in the darkness, my better half. Grace, I am so lost without you. No words that I could ever write can amount to the way that you moved me over the past 13 years. I will miss our dinner dates at Chipotle, scream singing in the car, text conversations, and the way you loved me so deeply and truly. I could not bear to write this message, but I'm seeing signs of you. The way the first song I ever showed you that ignited our friendship came on randomly in the car the other day. The way I looked at the clock during a moment of intense pain and it was 7:21. I feel you in everything I do. I see you in my dreams. I'm not sure how I will get through these upcoming days, months, and years, but when I walk across the stage in May to receive my doctorate, it will be all for you. You supported me through every season of life these past 6 years. You filled my cup and made me smile and always reminded me about how good life can be. I will miss you for the rest of my days. Please rest peacefully and know I love you with my whole heart, forever.

Grace, 
I am paralyzed. Years of enduring the pain and suffering, you loved fiercely. The world was never prepared for what you had to offer. Years of me absorbing your patience, years of absorbing your love, it was too much. It still is. All I can hope is that you are free of burden. Free of pain. I know you need to hear this in order to rest peacefully, so I’ll be the first to explore this depth of emptiness, but it is okay.  Though none of us appear it, we can only learn from this, from you. Let me handle this and you just enjoy wherever you are and I promise you, I’ll take the help this time. 

I will forever miss you screaming your heart out singing in the shower, to Zach Bryan. 1975. Morgan Wallen. I selfishly miss your comfort. Your love. Our very first and last walk of the year. How we argued about HR on my watch. How I finally won an argument by proving that yours was going to be even higher. You came in my life and moved us in a way nothing can ever compare to. I can only hope I can give half the love to Aaliyah, that you’ve done all these years. How I secretly envied that relationship you built with her. Lord only knows how but I will forever be memorized. I am sorry this took so long. It’s not what I had originally wrote, but I’m still learning to breathe. I don’t know how to live, but I am praying to god that I don’t quite understand right now. We all may be grasping, and one day we can embrace you’re no longer in pain, but until then…

Words can’t begin to describe the sorrow we feel over losing Grace. Her shy smile and happy demeanor spread warmth and joy at every family gathering and she will be deeply missed.  We wish endless love and healing to everyone that loved Grace. May her brightness continue to shine in our hearts, in our memories, and in the laughter and love we share in her honor.

But the picture of me and Ozzy, Ozzy is upright and looks like he was ready to play. Grace thought it was pretty funny,and I took a second picture with her, but the results were the same..

I was Blessed with Grace Ann & her sweet “SMILE” that literally lit up her entire gorgeous face & her precious little dimple…as my only niece through friendship 25 years ago! She was my daughter Saleys 1st best friend & I will always cherish those early days watching the girls create FUN & JOY everywhere they went! Grace was brilliant & kind & selfless…she was a lethal “catch~phrase” player & would show no mercy! 
This world & our friend family was a better place because she was in it…and there will forever be a missing of her!

My daughter, Hannah, and Grace had a beautiful friendship. I watched Hannah and Grace grow from young teens into delightful, intelligent, successful women. Hannah already misses Grace beyond words. I hope Grace's spirit will visit Hannah often. My deepest condolences and continued prayers will be with all who loved her.
