Jim proudly served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a professional tree trimmer with the Local 17 and went on to work with DTE for 20 years, retiring in 1998. Jim was a hard worker and provider, often working multiple jobs while Doris was home raising their children. He was a great husband, Dad and Grandpa. Jim patiently taught all of his grandchildren how to fish and cook. He was an avid fisherman of all seasons. Jim could be found fishing from Lake St. Clair all the way to Waterway Camp on his boat Fish-N-Fever. He was an excellent storyteller and had the nickname "Jimmy the Jaw" cause the man could talk! He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Doris; children, Jimmy Kenbeek, Debbie (Guy) Faucher; grandchildren, Luke (Chelsea) Kenbeek, Samantha Kenbeek, Simon Faucher, Aaron Faucher; a sister Ellen Thoel; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by a sister Claretta James, daughter-in-law Sheila Kenbeek.
A visitation for Jim will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 2-5PM followed by a 5PM Memorial Service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035.
