Joann Patsy Bruno, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, at the age of 85. She was the loving wife of Paul Bruno, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Joann was the devoted mother of Craig (Irene), Paul (Theresa), and Timothy (Lisa), and the cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Joanna, Craig Jr, Evan, Haleigh, Cassidy, and Zachary. She was also a proud great-grandmother of Layana, Journey, Kamilla, Penelope, and Mariah.
Her family remembers her fondly for her love of gardening, where she spent countless hours nurturing her flowers and plants. Joann also had a playful spirit and enjoyed playing games and cards, often cheating with her grandchildren to keep the fun alive. A woman of many interests, she delighted in solving crossword puzzles and had a special fondness for shopping on QVC, enjoying both the thrill of making purchases and the fun of returning them. Over the years, she became well-acquainted with the UPS driver, creating a unique bond.
Joann was an avid fan of "The Golden Girls" and the Hallmark Channel, finding joy and comfort in their heartwarming stories. She had a deep love for her dog, Heide Rose, who had been her faithful companion for the past five years. Joann’s vibrant spirit, sense of humor, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of joy and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service for Joann will take place on Friday, July 27, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00. On Saturday, July 28, 2024 at 11:00 am, Joann will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills.
