Our Dear Joe, we'll miss your smile, your kindness and the special way you had of brightening everyone's day. It's so very difficult to believe that you're gone, except there will be comfort in knowing that you're in God's arms now.  We pray that He will hold you close, and that you'll always know how very much you are loved and missed.  We'll always wish that we could have spent more time with you, although we have many fond memories of our conversations and how you could always find a way to make us laugh. I am wishing you comfort during this difficult time.  I was a classmate of Joe's at Santa Clara University School of Law.  While Joe and I weren't extremely close, what sticks to me about Joe, even 13 years later, is that Joe was a very genuine person.  He was a person who always cared about what you had to say and would take the time to listen to you.  Joe was also very proud of being from Michigan.  Despite going through a stressful time like law school, Joe always had a positive outlook and wore a constant smile on his face.  Joe Sind was a person I always respected.  Rest in peace, Joe.

Joe will always hold a special place in my heart. I have so many great memories with him that I will cherish and treasure forever. I have never known anyone as true to themselves and their principles as Joe. He always stood up for what he believed in and he never let anyone in his presence be bullied without standing up for them. Many of my most adventurous stories in life were not only with Joe, but were his idea. I vividly remember the first time I met him when I was moving into the apartment complex we both lived in during our first year of law school. I will never forget any of the many great times we had together. He will always be a significant part of my life and a significant part of me.

You and the guys over at 1018 were a big part of my life at Central.  I remember talking politics with you over a few beverages back in those days.  I was always impressed how you balanced your social life and studies.  I remember how you wanted to go to law school & seeing you achieve that.  You were one of the people I looked to as an example to follow. So many great memories of watching you and Marchenia forming and playing in Crosstown Mojo. My sympathies go out to your family and all the guys.

I knew Joe back during the days as a Chippewa at CMU. Many of my memories from college undergrad have Joe in them. Although it has been a long time since I have been in contact, he touched a part of my life. Is it not death if they live on in your heart? My sincere condolences to his friends and family.
