JoVae R. Briggs

JoVae R. Briggs passed away on June 1, 2018 at the age of 87. She was the loving wife of Gordon for over 68 years. She was the beloved mother of Debra (Thomas) King, the late Laurie Carter, and JoVae Meier. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Eric) Flemington, Gregory (Cassy) Hohl, Stephan Hohl, Jaime (Leslie) King, and Shannon King. The great-grandmother of Mariah (Joe) Rivet, Jacob (Rebeca) Wood, Amber (Damon) Shepard, Katie Flemington, Jonathon Flemington, Dillon Hohl, Devon Hohl, James Hohl, Stephan Hohl, Cameron Hohl, and Morgan King. The great-great-grandmother of Colton Rivet and Charlotte Wood. She was the dear sister of the late Bob (Helen) Cameron and the late Maxine (Auburn) Lewis.

JoVae was a woman of many talents. After her daughters had grown and were off to school she started working as a secretary for the executives of K-Mart, where she spent 10 wonderful years. She was also an avid seamstress and taught sewing to many students. She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, and catching a few rounds of golf with her husband Gordon.

A Visitation for JoVae will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 3 pm to 7pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Funeral Service will take place at 7pm at the funeral home. In memory of JoVae, memorial donations are appreciated to the Michigan Polio Network, 1156 Avon Manor Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
