Juanita Louise Sliwinski, a resident of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on October 2, 1954, Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love for life.
Juanita shared 45 wonderful years with her husband, Richard, who survives her. She was a loving mother to her sons, Tommy and Joshua, and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Caleb (affectionately known as Pud) and Savannah (known as Bea). Her siblings, Gloria, Gerardo, Paul, and Anna (Tina), along with her sister-in-law, Lorraine, were an integral part of her life. Juanita's cousin, Sylvia, and her beloved dog, Finley (Stinky Butt), will also miss her dearly.
Juanita had a passion for her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the lottery and was an avid TikTok enthusiast, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerardo and Sarah Leija, a brother, sister-in-law, Maureen, brother-in-law, John, her daughter-in-law, Melissa, and her beloved dogs, Bob and Love.
A visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, located at 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, on January 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the same venue at 6:00 pm.
