Judith Elizabeth Buchanan

Judy was born in Dexter, Kentucky on March 28, 1938, the daughter of the late Cauby Cautez, Deacon of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and Jessie Elizabeth Bedwell.

She worked for Warren Consolidated Schools for 31 years. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, genealogy, canning with her children, watching the Detroit Tigers baseball games with her son and her Yorkies. Every Sunday she would enjoy watching her church service via the internet with Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Kentucky.

Judy was a loving mother to Jeffrey (Patty) Buchanan, Wayne (Denise) Buchanan and Andrea (Duane) Chyz. She was grandmother to Kyle (Marija) Buchanan, Abigail Buchanan, Adam (Stephannie) Chyz, Matthew (Shannon) Chyz, and Eric (Sabrina) Chyz. GiGi to Cole Carlini Chyz. She was the cherished Aunt to Tamara (Rob) Smith, Rhonda (Reece) King and Brian (Robin) Bedwell. Sister of the late Joseph Boyd Bedwell. Sister-in-law to Carolyn Borders from Benton, Kentucky.

A visitation for Judith will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1-4 PM, with a service at 4 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
