Beloved wife of LeRoy L. King. Dearest Mother of Lisa (Norman) Riffle and James (Amy) King. Dear grandmother of Sydney (Cody) Stockenauer, Logan Riffle, Addison King, Brooklyn King, Charlotte King, Chad (Natalie) Riffle and Holly (Donald) Danklefsen. Great grandmother of Easton, Nolan, Addison, and Jaxon. Blessed sister of Rev. Dr. Robert Cosand, Janel (Gregory) Calamia, Robert (Kathie) King, and Mark (Jacqulyn) King. Dearest friend to Penny Sigler. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her mother and father, Wini and Robert Cosand and her parents-in-law, Kathleen and LeRoy A. King.
Judy enjoyed many occupations; she worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist for Burroughs, she was a merchandiser for many companies including Isotoner and Totes, she worked for many years for DuMouchelles auction house, and after she retiring, at the young age of 75, she started an estate sale business, The Owl’s Nest Estate Sales. She never sat idle. She loved antiques and crafts which also kept her busy. Over the years she painted, crocheted, refinished furniture, and decorated. She loved decorating and hosting family holiday gatherings.
Judy’s first and most loved calling was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and LeRoy were married for 60 wonderful years. Whether it was going to Shipshewana, sitting by the Saint Clair River watching the freighters, or working an estate sale, they just loved being together. Whether it was planning family vacations, packing lunches, making a favorite meal she always focused on her family. Judy was our best audience, sounding board, and avid cheerleader. She delighted in her grandchildren, enjoying every story and each accomplishment. She was the person who would make anyone feel at home. She would listen with you, laugh with you and even cry with you. She would build you up and raise you up in prayer. She will be greatly missed by so many.
