Louella "Lou" Matta

Louella B. Matta, age 84 of Sterling Heights, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Matta; Loving mother of Dean (the late Leslie) Rasch, Darrin Rasch, and Denise (Bob) Henigan; Dear triplet sister of the late Lucille (Jim) Stidwell and Laura (the late Jim) Turner; Adoring grandmother of Troy (Addison), Ian (Emily), Hunter, D.J. (Karen), Nicole (Brian), Beth (Matthew), Robert (Madison) and Ryan; Treasured great grandmother of Adeline, Troy, Helena, Mason, Milo, Louella, and Renae. Louella was preceded in death by her parents Laurent and Antoinette (Nee Grenier) Quenneville.

Louella was a person who lived life to the fullest. She loved her family dearly, had a wonderful sense of humor and was often the life of the party. She also enjoyed traveling. Her adventurous nature took her on many travels throughout the years. Louella will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 4-8 PM, with a funeral service at 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. She will be laid to rest privately at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Louella’s memory.
