Margaret Jean Dodge, age 96, died August 20, 2011. She was born on March 19, 1915. She grew up in Grand Rapids; resided in Detroit, then later in Clinton Township for many years. Recently she resided in a senior living apartment in Shelby Twp.
Mrs. Dodge was a retired cashier from Chatham Super Market. She loved crafts, writing letters, telling stories, and visiting with friends.
She was happily married for 72 years to her recently deceased husband Lyle. Loving mother of Dianne (Chuck) Granthen, and Dale (Cindy) Dodge.
Dear grandmother of Kimberly (Jeff) Rankens, Karen (Terry) Wolf, Kay-Margaret (Richard) Soyka, Kris (Dina) Dodge, Mark (Tami) Dodge, Scott (Rachel) VanOrnum, Jeremy (Magda) VanOrnum, and the late Katherine Patonis.
She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, her grandson-in-law Paul Patonis, and many nieces and nephews.
