Dr. Mark Kenneth Johnson

Dr. Mark Kenneth Johnson, age 72, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025. Mark was the beloved and devoted husband of Dawn Johnson for 40 wonderful years, and a caring father to Emily Arth and Elijah Johnson. He was a cherished brother to Steve Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Arthur Johnson, and Allison Howard, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Steven Duffy and Laurie Duffy for their love and support.

Mark dedicated his life to caring for others as a compassionate and skilled podiatrist. He stayed at the forefront of medical research, driven by a love for both the science of his field and the connections he formed with those he treated. He ran a successful solo practice in Missouri for 27 years before moving to California.

A true family man, Mark’s heart was always with his loved ones, and wherever his family gathered was his home. He loved traveling across the United States and Europe, sharing adventures with Dawn and their children. Mark was also a music enthusiast, known for his vast knowledge of bands and songs, and he enjoyed playing guitar with the Ozark Hellbenders for several years.

Mark and his family were well known for hosting memorable gatherings, bringing friends and family together for holidays and special occasions. In addition to his career and family, Mark gave generously to his community, volunteering with Boy Scouts, the Lions Club, and local theater programs, where his warmth and generosity touched many lives.

Mark’s dedication to his profession, his unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
