Mary Lou Nelson, age 76, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was born February 11, 1949 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Carl and Anna (Ostopovitch) Michayluk.
Mary worked for many years and retired from Fraser Public Schools as a bus driver. She was the matriarch of the Michayluk family. "Words written in diamond ink on golden pages can hardly express my delight for you." These are the words Eddie wrote in her yearbook, and he has felt that way every day for the last 59 years. Words cannot express how loved and admired she was by all who were blessed to have known her.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Eddie; son, Jay; daughter, Stephanie (Tom); her most cherished grandsons, Ross, Michael, and Sean who were her whole world. She is also survived by her siblings, Pat (Al) Kollmorgen, Shelly Piper, Michael (Vickie) Michayluk, Nancy Best; her sister-in-law, Cathy Michayluk; and a large number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anna Michayluk; her siblings, Connie, Dolly, Carol, Carl "Teeko" and Sandra.
A visitation for Mary will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035.
