Michael Jeffrey Huetter

M. Jeffrey Huetter, 1934 – 2020. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of M. Jeffrey Huetter at the age of 86. Devoted husband of Elizabeth Ann Delaney and dedicated father of Katherine Martini (Mike), Julie Goodwin (Scott) and Jane Leonardi (Jim).

A lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe, Jeff attended St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School, Marmion Military Academy, and the University of Detroit before serving in the Territory of Alaska in the US Army.

He married the love of his life in 1958 and the couple settled in Grosse Pointe. Jeff parlayed his keen eye for detail into a long career as a lithographer and photo engraver.

Quick with a joke, he had a smile for everyone he met. He enjoyed the camaraderie of friends, time with family, good food, good beer and a game of pool.

His golden years were spent with family, traveling, gardening, watching old movies, hanging out at the VFW and with sports, as an ever-hopeful Lions fan.

A man of true integrity and kindness, he will be sorely missed.

There will not be an in-person gathering at this time. A memorial will be announced at a later date.
