She was born in Hopedale, Ohio, was valedictorian of her High School class, then attended Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor's Degree in three years. The family moved to Detroit where Norma was an elementary school teacher for nine years in Royal Oak before marrying Walter and raising a family.
Norma had a passion for music and excelled at playing the piano. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, utilized her extensive vocabulary while solving crossword puzzles in the newspaper and TV game shows, and was involved in her church, meals on wheels, vacations with family and friends and projects for people with disabilities.
Norma was preceded in death by her beloved Walter; son, Robert John Bogus; brother, David Calvisi and parents, Peter and Elizabeth Calvisi. Loving mother of Joseph Bogus, Mary (Stephen) Henige, James (Lourdes) Bogus, and Anne (Joseph) Roznowski. Devoted grandma and great- grandma of numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Irma Calvisi; brothers, Louis (Nancy) Calvisi, Ronald Calvisi and Robert (Linda) Calvisi.
A visitation for Norma will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2 pm to 8 pm with a 7pm Rosary at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. A visitation will occur Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035.
Norma will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
