Sending my deepest sympathy to Pat's family and friends.  I worked with Pat at Lapeer County Bank and Trust in the late 1980's, where he was in Upper Management, and also served with him on the North Branch Area Schools Board of Education.   I knew he was a Vietnam helicopter pilot, but never knew he was a Bronze Star recipient.  May God grant him eternal rest.

I just came across this obituary on Patrick F Brown and offer  my heart felt sympathy to his family.
If I am correct, I met him when I worked as a teller at Michigan National Bank decades ago & he was in management at the branch.
He was so outgoing & friendly & taught me about mallard ducks.
He definitely loved the outdoors.

My wife Beth and I are deeply saddened to hear of Pat’s passing.  We met Pat on the trails of Lake Saint Clair Metropark a few years ago and we would stop and chat with him whenever we saw each other.  We became friends, and always talked about birds and wildlife and about what great photos he had taken.  He was such a kind and caring man and passionate about conservation and wildlife.  We walked the trails today and thought about and missed our dear friend.  We are better people for having known him!  Our sincere condolences to Pat’s family and friends.   Gary and Beth Murphy

Pat has been valued employee of the Blue Water Center for Independent Living since 2004.  He was the clinical director/program manager until he retired in 2014. He cared so much about the BWCIL and the work we do, he was only retired for a week when he came back as a part time independent living specialist. 

Pat introduced BWCIL to bell ringing for the Salvation Army and it became a tradition for employees to celebrate the holidays at the office and head to Birchwood Mall for the afternoon. It is a tradition we hope to carry on in memory of Pat.

We are truly going to miss Pat's honorable character, knowledge, expertise, kindness, humor and of course, his geocaching and photographing adventures and tales of his life.  Pat was a dear colleague, mentor, and friend to all at the BWCIL. He will be so greatly missed. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat's family. 

My heartfelt condolences to Pat's family. I've known Pat for a few years and consider him a dear friend. We shared a love for astronomy and photography and I enjoyed watching and listening to him engage the visitors at the club observatory with his affable personality and enthusiasm. He was an intelligent and kind man who will be missed dearly by those who knew him.

Pat lived on Mayfield one street from our house on Alma.  We were the same age and went through GA grade school together.  Our moms were good friends.  As kids Pat and I rode our bikes all over, were in Cub Scouts together, played together on the Cub Scouts softball teams.  I lost track of Pat after high school but we reconnected a couple years ago on Facebook.  Love his photos of birds and ducks.  Saw him a year ago at the GA class of 61 alumni gathering.  Saw recent photos of birds that he posted on FB a couple weeks ago. Am totally shocked to hear of his passing.  Hope to see his siblings on Tuesday.  Rest In Peace Pat!!

I suspect this is the Pat Brown I knew and admired from Roseville. His mother is the one who introduced me to Vernors with cream. I was stunned to see an obituary with his name. My condolences to his family.

It was a pleasure and an honor to do an outreach event at his side; his kindness and enthusiasm toward both his fellow astronomers and the members of the public we served together never flagged. I always enjoyed my time with Pat at family gatherings. The last time I saw him was on Christmas Eve. We spoke at length and he expressed a sincere desire to read my dissertation and I asked him many questions about his love of bird watching/photography. I really enjoyed our conversation. 
I am saddened that he passed away suddenly, but am happy for him to be in the company of our Lord. I will always remember him as a gentleman who was always moved to watch children experience the magic of Christmas.
