Patrick Tignanelli passed away in his sleep next to, Patricia, his wife of 66 years on November 27, 2023. He was born to Carrie and Sam Tignanelli in Detroit on September 25, 1937. The loving father of Greg (Ann), Joe (Adelicia) and Bill (Laurie). The wonderful Papa of Rachel (Derek), Alissa (Jimmy), Andrew (Bridget), Jason, Carrie (Jay), Gina (Jeffery), Maggie (Sam), Kristen (Lance) and Justin (Sydnei). He was also the awesome Great Papa of 14 and the caring Uncle to Bob Presta (Mary). He is also survived by his in-laws Jim Van De Velde (Lila) and Faye Van De Velde (Jerry d.). Patrick was preceded in death by his sister Julia (Fred, Janet & Bill) Presta.
Patrick will be remembered as a loving and supportive Father, Papa and devoted husband. He enjoyed coffee and often said that he liked his coffee like he liked his wife…blonde. His eyes never wandered from his wife, who he adored and was most proud of.
Patrick and Patricia enjoyed Michigan, often taking weekend jaunts Up North. And, Wintering in Brooksville, Florida at their beloved condo. He was an avid poker player with his friends in Florida and enjoyed having fun with his kids and grandkids in any card or board game. Watching or talking sports was part of everyday life, especially in his retirement years. In his youth he was a very good athlete. Patrick continued his love of sports and applied it to coaching youth sports in St. Clair Shores. In his later years, he golfed and transitioned into being a ranger at the Westwynd Golf Course.
Patrick was Full Blooded Italian (FBI), he included a good bread basket or two with every meal and above all else LOVED HIS FAMILY.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:30 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township.
