Reynold (Ray) Bianchi Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2021. He was 60 years old. Born in Lynwood, California on September 1st, 1961 Ray grew up in southeast Michigan where he lived until his passing. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry (nee Winkler), daughters Kelli (Addison) Pierce and Andrea (Tony) Fazi, six grandchildren - Harlan, Eloise, Eleanor, Calvin, Bennett and Leo, his parents Ray Bianchi Sr. and Diane North, brother Michael and sisters Laurie and Janet.
Ray was a lover of all sports and a huge Michigan Wolverines fan - he bled maize and blue. He had a decent jump shot on the basketball court and was a peppy shortstop in high school and later in the beer leagues. He was a passionate softball and basketball coach for his daughters and their teams as they grew up.
Ray loved animals and rescued a menagerie of pets over the years. He leaves behind his beloved mutt Max, who he rescued off the 696 service drive nine years ago. Ray always worked hard. He will be remembered for the countless ways he lent a helping hand to friends and family. He was a fan of all kinds of music and was known to blast it in the car while driving with his daughters when they were teenagers. They have quite a few fond (if slightly embarrassing) memories of him cranking Eminem albums and rapping along to the songs on rides around town.
He was stubborn. He was loud. He was fun. And he was loved very much. He will be missed tremendously.
