It’s been 365 days since you closed your eyes one last time. I miss you everyday, and I will never be able to explain or close the whole in my heart. I love you Richard Jerome. Through all space and time. 

Sending strength & prayers to all of you at this difficult time. Please açcept our deepest condolences. I have many memories of Richie, but one that truly sticks with me and the Richie we all loved. My Mother/his granny was in the hospital and unbeknownst to us so was Richie and he made sure he came to see his granny in his hospital gown and all. That's the Richie I knew. The kind, loving soul. May you find comfort in all the good memories we all shared. Till we meet again rest in peace Richie❣️

Richy was the first uncle dimitri knew. He use scream UNCLE RICHYYYYYY every time he seen him. It could be 15min apart. My sons heart is broken.
He loves Richy to the moon and back.
Those two would spend hours at the pool together. Richy was the first to get Dimitri to eat mushrooms and grilled onions. 
They have an unspoken bond. Youll always be loved.

When Richard was in the second grade, his class made Christmas ornaments.  As was customary for second graders, they were made out of macaroni.  They cut out huge triangles out of poster board, covered them with macaroni and spray painted them gold.  They were finished off with a hole in the top to put the Christmas tree hook into.  I have hung that ornament on my tree every year since he gave it to me.  My husband always gave me the funniest look when I put it on the tree, but it was my precious memory of Richard and it will continue to hang on my tree every year until I see him again.  I love you Richard.

I remember the first time i met you like it was yesturday. I had to have been about 12 years old. You had really long hair and this amazing personality. We just clicked. We have been thru so many good things and you ment the world to me. I fell in love with you the moment i met you. Youve had the biggest impact on my life and concidered you as my best friend i finally have to say goodbye to one of the people ive deeply cherished. Goodbye my friend. Till we meet again.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Carole LoDuca (Salvatore), Darlene Kirkwood (Chad), Bruce Kirkwood (Kim), Sydney Jerome, Adam Stanow, Austin Stanow, Kaila Brown, Braque Kirkwood. His nieces and nephews, Damian, Jory, Julian, Richard, David, Michael, Lilian, Neilah, Kash and Rosalie, his great nephew, Jory Jr.

Richie was preceded in death by his dad, David Kirkwood, grandparents Orville and Carole Hicks, and grandfather Charles Jerome.
