Rick Waligora, 74 of Warren, Michigan, died on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Born on November 30, 1950 in Detroit, he retired after working more than 30 years in cemetery management. Rick loved bowling, spending time with his family, rooting for Michigan sports teams, and serving as a volunteer for his church community. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and loved catching up with old friends from his time at Calumet Air Force Station. Rick was known to everyone as a deeply caring and kind person, willing to go the extra mile to help anyone in need and always striving to bring laughter and light to everyone’s day.
Rick is survived by his wife of more than 51 years, Judy, his two children, Nicole (Russell), Stephen (Lauren), his seven grandchildren: David, Ryan, Sean, Penelope, Angelina, Harrison, and Roselyn, and his siblings: Marge (Gordie, Ken), Betti (Mike), Lois (Gary), Mary (Rodney), and Jerry, and countless nieces, nephews, and dear family friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Virginia Waligora, and his siblings: Arlene (Rich), Jack (Vicki), Frank (Gerri), Tom (Karen), and Phyllis.
A visitation for Rick will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd in Clinton Township. A Funeral Mass will occur Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Royal Oak Catholic Church, 730 S Lafayette Ave. in Royal Oak. Friends may visit the church on Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM.
