Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was married to his beloved wife, Michele Kokal, and family was always the center of his life.
Bob was a loving father in every sense of the word. While Emilee Wilson (Matthew Wilson), Teresa Fiemer (Paul Fiemer), and Kathleen Argent were his stepdaughters, he raised them, cared for them, and loved them as his own — and they knew him, without question, as Dad.
He was a proud grandfather to Mila, Tessa, Enzo, Millie, Ruby, and Norah, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Bob is also survived by his brother, Steve Kokal (Janine Kokal); his nephew, Joseph Kokal; his niece, Kristie Kassel (Jesse Kassel); great nephew, Jordan Pawlak; and his great-niece, Sailor Phillips-Kassel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Kokal.
Bob will be remembered for his gentle heart, his love of the outdoors and his up-north Shangri-La, and the way he loved his people — deeply, quietly, and without condition. His legacy lives on in the family and friends he devoted his life to and the love he gave so freely.
In Bob’s memory, the family encourages compassion, understanding, and reaching out for support when needed. If you or someone you love is struggling, help is available by calling, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by calling or texting 988.
