I know he will be missed by many.I cherish the conversations i had with Bob when he would come into Latchkey and pick up the kids (seems like forever ago) Iam so happy i got to meet all of you. Bob you make me smile every time I think of you. I had so much fun no matter what we were doing your energy is so powerful, we can all learn from you.  We have done so much in the little time I have spent with you. I really enjoyed the motorcycle trip to your parents cabin upnorth when Carrie pulled a wheelie and fell off my dirt bike. we had a blast with all of you guys on that trip.

I remember the times we'd go camping, to the cottage, on the boat, ride the 4 wheelers, just have fun--that's what Bob was about.
There will be an emptiness where he once was, but may it be filled with all the happy memories of him. 
May the Lord give you strength to get through this diffucult time, as Bob will be your guardian angel and watch over you.

Bob as you know was not only very special to you as a husband and father, but to many others like myself as a friend. In many ways I have looked up to Bob like the older brother I never had. He's always been the one I would call in a time of need or if I just needed someone to talk to about anything. He always made a point to check up on each others families before we would talk about anything else, he created such a special bond that it will be impossible to replace. Bob was such a selfless, loving and honorable person that I always looked up to him and I can say I've learned so much from him in so many ways. Our kids adored him, they loved swimming in the pond and letting Bob bait their hooks to catch some fish. There are just so many things that have created such fond memories for my entire family thanks to Bob that I am eternally greatful for the friendship weve shared. Our families have had so many great times together and we had hoped to have even more with you. The monster truck jams, vegas, canoe trips, fish frys, all good stuff and flipping over in the Razor with Johnny. Bob was a great man, full of life and always willing to do anything for anyone he cared about. He has brought so many great people together and has made us feel like an extension of your family, for this we will always be thankful. Looking back now I can see why God wanted him, because he's truly one of the greatest people that ever walked the earth. We are going to miss him so much, that words cannot begin to explain. I hope that in honor of Bob we can continue the traditions he was so passionate about, I think that would put a huge smile on his face. I just know that if I could call him right now he would tell me 'bud, I'm just living the dream' and lucky for him because he truly is now.  With love and blessings from all of us.

Peters Family....We are sorry to hear about the loss of your son.  Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts.

My first memory of Bobby Peters is playing 'king of the hill' on top of the snow piles at Bethlehem Lutheran. Bobby had a bright green snowsuit and he always won because he was a big kid. The only way we could get him off the hill was to gang up on him. I remember spending a lot of hot summer days at his house in their pool. It was probably the only time in my life that I wore a speedo bathing suit. Mrs. Peters bought the speedos for Bobby and I. (At the time, we thought we were pretty cool.) I also remember going hunting with Bobby and his dad up at his grandma and grandpa's in Croswell Michigan. I shot my first deer with Bobby and his dad. I rode to high school with Bobby. He would pick me up in his gray Camaro. After school, if it was hot out we would take the t-tops off for the ride home. In high school, Bobby was pretty adamant that his friends stop calling him Bobby - it was Bob from then on. I'll always remember his as Bobby though. We didn't stay connected after high school but I'll always have fond memories of the time I was able to spend with him. To: Mrs. & Mr. Peters, and Bobby's wife and children - your son, husband and father was a great man who I had the priveledge of calling a friend. I am sorry for your loss and will lift you up in my prayers. I pray that the Holy Spirit will surround you with His arms so you feel his warm embrace and bring you peace.

Peters family, I am so so sorry for your loss. Knowing Bob was a gift, being his friend was really a special gift. Bob is the guy that always had your back. I feel blessed and lucky to have known him for 40+ years. It doesn't seem like enough time, but I still feel lucky. Anyone that knew him probably felt the same way. I never knew anyone as genuinely kind as he was, always had a smile on his face, and really seemed to enjoy his life. what more could you ask for? Holly, my heart aches for you, Mitchell and Chelsea, and of course Aunt Carol, Uncle Art and Kim...there are no words. You guys are family, by heart not by blood...I will feel like a piece of me is missing forever!  Love to all of you. Keep all of the wonderful loving memories in your heart. There are so many...such a precious gift.  We love you, let us know if we can ever do anything.

I dont know how to express this but Bob was just a special guy. In just the last year after knowing him I developed a significant respect for him. I still remember sitting and having pizza together with you and the kids and how proud Bob was of how everything had turned out.

I met Bob when I started at Lutheran East in 1986 and he was one if the first people to befriend me as a freshman.  Although I was only there for 2 years, Bob was always kind and generous to everyone.  His smile had a way of welcoming people.  My sincerest sympathy to his family. Peters Family....I am so, so sorry for your loss. It is a huge loss to everyone that knew him. My heart is so full of memories of Bob. There was never a truer friend or a better person. Although you don't know me, I knew Bob from work.  From the very beginning of our relationship he had me laughing until tears filled my eyes and we continued the laughter even during his hospital stay.  Your husband / dad left behind a great legacy of love, fun and laughter.  Not many men have that ability and consider it an honor to have been called his friend.  In addition to the laughter were also those serious times when we would talk family, something he was very proud of.  May I suggest you hang on to those good times, meditate on them and be thankful he was the man he was.  That thankfulness will get you through the hardest of hardest times.

Holly, Mitchell, Chelsea and the rest of the Peters family.  Like you, I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with Bobby. He will be missed, but never forgotten.  When you are feeling down, look up, I know he will be there smiling down on us.

When I think of Bob I think of his love for the outdoors:  The fishing, the camping, the bow hunting.  Steve and I have had a lot of time to talk about old times in the past couple days.  When I think of Bob I remember his smile.  I remember his laugh.  We had so many good times.  Cruising gratiot, going out, VERY old times at Beaver Lake when we were kids.  Hiding from the aunts looking for us to wash dishes.  Snipe hunting as kids.  Steve says it was Bob and Uncle Art that showed him the boneyard truly with their "roadside" hunting.  The time we took the truck and the boat up north to go camping and Steve plowed into the back of us.  We werent 30 miles away but we had such a great trip.  Bob and his animals.  The alligators in his office, the german shephard King.  Bob was forever yelling at that dog "King Come".  I dont think that stubborn animal ever listened to him.  We used to laugh at Bob and his appetite.  Bob could tell you how to get anywhere but it was usually...go down to the McDonalds and make a left to the Burger King and when you almost get to Taco Bell..your there.  Bob also had a thing for vehicles...always changing...we can remember the yellow corvette, the 68 orange camaro, the blue truck, the toyota 10 feet off the ground....he was always swapping out his vehicles.  I spent a lot of time with Bobby during our younger years.  Bob and I were not only cousins but we were friends.  Bob was Noah's Godfather, Jordan stood up in his wedding.  Bob finding a way to "back" out of our wedding..ha ha....  It has been too long since we spent any real time together and I will be forever sorry for that.  Bob was a very generous loving person..I will always remember his laugh and smile.

Remembering all the great times spent with Bobby over the years... My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. Prayers are being sent today and ongoing.
