Ruth Marjorie Burns

"The pain is forgotten, the spring flowers are beautiful and Wally is there to greet her with a big hug and a kiss for his beloved Ruthie Babe! Our achiever has found her way home! We all love Ruthie. She is our rock and compass. She is Mom; Boy are we blessed!"

Ruth retired as an associate of J.C. Penney Company.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mary Galante and her devoted husband of 67 years, Wally Burns.

Ruth is survived by her four sons Robert (Magaret), Kathy, Tim (Ann), Thom (Rhonda) and Jim (Patrice).

Ruth was the proud grandmother of Tim Jr. (Barb), Amy (Pat), Terry (Amanda), Heather (John), Kevin (Sarah), Meghan, Katy (Paul), Jamie and Brennen.

She also cherished her six great-grandchildren Mason, Maggie, Jack, Claire, Owen and Brady.

Ruth also loved and supported her extended family of adopted grandchildren Marlynda and James (Rachel) and great-grandchildren Malong, Nyandeng and Achol.

Visitation will be held between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary, Tuesday April 22, 2014 Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday April 23, 2014, with an instate time at 9 a.m., at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, MI.
