

Sara L. Glover was a modest woman, quiet and observant in her ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. She was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew her. She was also a woman who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything she undertook. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Sara was born on June 6, 1962 at Wayne County Hospital in Wayne, Michigan. She was the daughter of Rudy and Audrey Briseno. Sara grew up in Romeo, Michigan.
Sara was raised with six siblings. She had four brothers, Merrill, Larry, Michael and Arthur; and two sisters, Suzanne and Bonnie. Sara was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Sara had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Sara was an active child who took part in swimming. She was a scout. In her spare time she liked drawing and painting, they were her passions! However, to Sara, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Sara had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Romeo Senior High in 1980. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Her favorite class in high school was Art. She was quiet in High School but her friends recognized her artistic talents.
Sara enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Sara was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Center For Creative Studies in Detroit. Her favorite courses were illustration classes.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Sara enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, she was saddened when a friend named Sue Kauten moved away in grade school. Later in life, she became friends with a woman named Sue La Toure. She was destined to be surrounded by Sue's, as her sister Susie would say.
Empathic and loyal, Sara was committed to making her new family happy.
Sara worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Sara was blessed with two children, one daughter, Maria, and one son, Jonathon.
Fortunately, Sara enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Sara worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Graphic Design Artist. She was employed for several years with K Mart as an illustrator, but her greatest happiness came 10 years ago when she became self-employed and created Glover Graphics. Her Logo was "Let Us Make You Shine". Sara always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Sara enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were involved her Art, but she loved to travel and visit family. She missed her siblings and when they were together they played the family card game of Pinocle. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Sara found pleasure in sports. In high school, Sara was on the swim team. Recreational sports included swimming. Sara was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so.
Throughout her life, Sara was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. Throughout her later years, Sara was an active member of the Optimist Club and very active in the Chamber of Commerce.
Sara’s faith was important to her. She was a recent member of the Rockpointe Church. Sara was raised Catholic, but had changed the last three years to a more open view of religion. She still kept a rosary by her bed though. During this time, she was involved in bible study groups.
Sara enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included recent work trip to New York and Arizona, that she couldn't stop talking about.
Sara was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Chester, a pekenese that our mother gave her just before she died in 2004. They were best friends for 6 years. Her family was rounded out by her Cats!, three of them.
Sara passed away on July 5, 2010 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She acquired TTP, a rare blood disease, the cause is still unknown. She is survived by her son, Jonathon, her daughter, Maria, her ex-husband, Tony Glover, who still loved her. Her sisters, Bonnie(Texas), Susie(Michigan); her brothers, Larry, Michael, and Arthur, all from Michigan. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Audrey and Rudolph Briseno, and one brother, Merrill Thomas Scott. She is also survived by 12 nephews and 11 nieces. Visitation Saturday, 4-8 pm., and Sunday, 2-8 pm., at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Mich. 48038. A funeral service will be held Monday, 10 am. at Rockpointe Community Church, 38100 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI. 48312. Additional visitation at the church Monday, 9-10 am. Sara will be laid to rest in Morehead, Kentucky next to her mother and father.
Simply stated, Sara was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Sara leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Sara L. Glover.
