Sharon was a cherished mother to her daughter, Robin Pehrson, and a proud and loving grandmother to Trey, Cameron, and Griffin, who brought her endless joy. She was the dear sister of George Smiley; the late Sheila Smiley; the late Hugh Smiley; Jack Smiley; the late Michael Smiley; the late Gerry Smiley; Lee Shano; and Colleen Smiley.
Sharon had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed going up north during hunting season. A particularly skilled fisherman, she also found great pleasure in boating. Sharon and Dennis shared a love of travel and made many happy memories together on trips and cruises. She was a devoted Detroit Red Wings fan and greatly enjoyed watching hockey.
Above all else, Sharon treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Memorial Service will take place at the funeral home, beginning at 1:00 pm.
