15 mayo , 196012 febrero , 2020

Sherril E. Teninty, age 59 of Clinton Township, MI passed away February 12, 2020. Beloved wife of Roland for 19 loving years. Loving mother of Joseph, Avery and Casey. Her brother Doug and parents Joan and Paul survive Sherril.

Sherril was born to Joan and Paul Getz on May 15, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan. In April of 2000 she married her love Roland, and in May of the following year she became a mother.

Sherri was passionate about raising her family. She had always wanted a big family, so in 2005 she and Roland started their foster training. In August of 2006, they were able to foster their first child as well as her mother, and in 2008 she adopted Casey into their home. She was wise and she loved to learn new things. Some of her favorite things to do were read news and science articles, and watch documentaries. She enjoyed doing things with her family like window shopping at the mall, going on walks at the park, and playing board games together. Sherril was the CEO of the Teninty family. She adored children and would do anything for them.

Sherril had a heart of gold, always putting others needs before her own. She was able to give love, wisdom, happiness, and so much more to the people she cared for. Her memory will live on with all of those whose lives she touched.

“Life comes from the earth and life returns to the earth”. – Zhaungzi Keeping with Sherril’s wishes, she will be cremated and then return to the earth from which she was made.

Roland and family:

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved wife/mother. She sure was proud of her family!

Although I only was introduced to Sherril at our class reunion, I felt like had known her for a long time. She had a beautiful smile - was very kind, outgoing and pitched in to help get things set up. I am saddened that we didn’t have another opportunity to get together.

I pray that you all feel strength and comfort from God, as He guides you in the difficult days ahead.

One of the most amazing women I’ve known. Heart of gold, with a personality to match. I cannot fathom that she is no longer present. She made me laugh. I was her cousin, regardless of how our family dynamics played out. We had so many opposing ideals and notions - and so much respect for one another’s differences, and our love grew and flourished because of that. We were planning to visit this year. My heart is breaking knowing I won’t get that hug we talked about. I love you, Sherri. Thank you for making my world a better place with your love.

I was proud to call Sherri my friend. She had such a spunky personality and encouraged people to do their best. She believed in people. You could talk with her for hours and still feel it was not enough time. She was so engaging to be with. Some of her favorite things were monarch butterflies, "The Sound of Music," and going for bike rides with her sons at the metroparks. She appreciated the beautiful things in life. She was so proud of her sons for their accomplishments and for being the good people she helped them to become. She was also very grateful to her husband for working so hard to provide for their family. I will miss her dearly and I learned so much from her about what it means to love someone.

My deepest loving condolences to Roland, Avery, Casey, Aunt Joni , Uncle Mike, and cousin Doug. Sherry and I developed our friendship as we aged. She was closer to my younger sisters in age and we really did not appreciate each other until maybe the last fifteen years or so. My best memories of Sherry are at our favorite lunch time get away - Carrabba’s! LOL. We had many deep discussions there about our kids families, our lives in general, dieting, health, the world, politics, sometimes religion - nothing was off limits for us. That was the best part of our relationship. We had many laughs ,shed a few tears, but most important - we shared our love for each other. Our last Family Reunion was a blast. Sherry started that ball rolling and we all fell into line making it happen. I miss her already. There is a hole in my heart for my friend and cousin. She and Roland have worked hard to raise their sons and give them the skills and tools they need to be successful human. beings. They did a good job. My love goes out to our whole family. We have lost another strong and beautiful woman. I send Peace to all of you. Hugs, Susan.
