Terrence “Terry” Collins passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 86. He was the dear brother of Norma Jeanne Kropf and brother-in-law of Jeanne Collins. He was the cherished uncle of Patricia, Joan, Michael, Ann, Terry, Kathleen, Thomas, Julie, Laura, Gary, Lisa, William, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents William and Anna Collins and his siblings Ryan T. Collins, Lois Matchinsky, and Dr. William Collins.
Terry graduated from De La Salle High School in Detroit. He taught in the Metro Detroit area for many years. He retired from Mount Clemens High School after 20 years as a history teacher. After retirement, Terry focused on his passions, golfing and sailing. Depending on that day’s weather, you could find him out on the water or on the green at Marysville Golf Course.
A memorial gathering for Terry will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township, Michigan.
