

"Jeanie", as she was best known by her husband and friends, was born on September 2, 1936 in Mount Clemens, and lived her entire life in the Mount Clemens area. She was united in marriage to David L. Willenberg Sr. on September 12, 1953 and throughout their 64 years of marriage, became the loving parents of five children and over 30 foster children. She and her husband were Foster Parents of the Year in 1964 and were lovingly referred to as "Papa & Grama" by many who have grown up in their circle of family and church friends. Virginia enjoyed ceramic painting, vacationing, decorating, and mowing the lawn at their weekend home in Deckerville, MI and she was an active member and past president of Women's Aglow. Above all else, Virginia had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved to worship the Lord and share her faith whenever she could.
Surviving, besides her husband David are three daughters: Ms. Debra Lynn (Pomaville), Mrs. Jeff (Judith) Simmons, and Miss Susan Willenberg and two sons: Mr. David (Diane) Willenberg and Mr. Randy (Maretta) Willenberg. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township on Friday, January 26th from 4:00 - 9:00 PM and Saturday, January 27th at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edward Marsack of Brookside Fellowship Church officiating. Her final resting place will be at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township.
