Vita C. Olejniczak, age 96, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, formerly of Eastpointe, Michigan passed away on January 14, 2021. She was the loving mother of Richard J. Jr., (Mary Rose), and Dennis; Dear grandmother of Russell, Ryan (Danielle), Michael (Samantha) and Rita; Treasured great-grandmother of Allison, Dominic, Vincent, Aubree, Ava and Austyn. Vita was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard J. Sr., in 2013.
Vita leaves behind a legacy of love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she loved to be around other people. Everyone that knew her loved her. Vita led an independent life, and thoroughly enjoyed her activities such as bingo, bible study, exercise classes, bell choir and sing-alongs. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 2-8 PM, at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Entombment will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Vita’s memory to the Solanus Casey Center or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
