William worked for General Motors at the Tech Center for 33 years before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and traveling back home to Germany. William was a member for over 50 years of the Kolping Society.
William is survived by his children, Chris (Sherry) Born, Erik (Donna) Born, Stephan (Tammy) Born, Jennifer (Patrick) O'Quinn; and grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon , Corey, Kelsey, Ashley, Matthew, Corinna. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Brigitte Born.
A visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, located at 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, on January 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
