Benjamin "Ben" Gerber passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22 at Clovis Community Hospital with his wife by his side. Ben was born in Fowler, California. He graduated from Fowler High where he was drum major for the Fowler High band.
Ben was office manager for Fowler Cabinet for 42 years. He married Sharon Sutter of Fowler in 1965. For recreation Ben and Sharon loved to go camping and fishing. They would spend a week camping with their two daughters Deb and Denise at Portal Forebay, a place he took Sharon on their third date.
After retirement Ben and Sharon went camping, cruising, and some traveling. Besides traveling, Ben loved to work in his yard.
Ben was preceded in death by his dad and mom, two sisters, and one brother.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, his Daughter Deb Sadler and her husband Steve, his daughter Denise Klinger and her husband Troy, and grandchildren Clayton, Caitlyn, Victoria, Tommy, Trevor, and Logan. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Also survived by his dog Ladie who he loved to throw the ball to.
A Graveside Service for Ben will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Clovis Cemetery.
