

He moved to Daly City , California as a teenager. He was drafted into the army, where he served two years in Okinawa, Japan.
Upon his discharge, he re-entered high school where he graduated at the ripe age of 21. It was at Jefferson High School he made a best friend, James Richard Morgan who introduced him to his sister, Maria Esther Morgan, who would become his wife. They married in 1950 and settled in South San Francisco while he was employed with the Bank of America. They moved to San Bruno in 1963 where they raised their five children, Mary, Rich, Bob, Patti and John.
He was a member for many years of the San Bruno Rod & Gun club, where he mad many lifelong friends.
He had a beautiful singing voice and loved to entertain his family with an impromptu song .
Chuck worked several years as an auto dealership finance manager, then several years as a disability insurance salesman. He and Esther retired to Placerville, California in 1999. After 53 years of marriage, his beloved wife passed away in 2003 and laid to rest in Placerville
He lived his final four years in the Fresno area.
He was devoted and lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants. He enjoyed watching the SF Forty Niners and was happy to listen to their winning game in the days before his passing.
He is survived by his children, Mary Bowie of Manteca, Rich Marrs of Alta Loma, Robert Marrs of Pollock Pines, Patti Magill of Clovis, and John Marrs of Atascadero. He was the devoted grandfather to James Smith, April Smith Prentice, Chris Small, Stephanie Marrs Cuevas, Rich Marrs, Jr., Adam Marrs, Matt Mollusky, Elena Mollusky Goodlad, Mandy Magill, John Magill, Justin Marrs, Amy Marrs Combs, Christine Marrs Tickner, Mary Marrs, Devon, Damien and Tristan Marrs. He was the great grandfather to Tasha, Tori, Seamus, Aurora, Kingston, Joel, Sierra, Calvin, Aiden, Kailee, Bella, Cole, Anastasia and Laila
