Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel Giles Ball Jr. and daughter, Alma Gean Ball. He was a kind and loving father, dad to many more people than just his two children. He was born in Exeter, California to Uvada S. and Chester W. Ball. He grew up with three siblings, Dorothy Duveen Fox, Chester Ball (Sonny), and Donald Joseph Ball (Donny).
He followed his older brother Sonny to Fresno, California for work. This led to all 3 brothers working in the pool industry together. Eventually, Daniel G. Ball became a pool contractor, and owner of Clovis Gunite and Materials Inc. He loved racing cars when he was younger, which developed into a hobby of rebuilding and showing cars when he was older. He loved the simple things in life: spending time with family, friends, and pets. There was nothing better than Nascar on Sunday or a good John Wayne Western for the 100th time. He enjoyed a good game of Chinese checkers, especially winning the game, or visiting his two Coffee Groups every weekday for over 50 years. His other hobbies were gardening with mom, train hobbyist and going to WWII plane shows.
He will be missed by family, friends, employees, and colleagues. His legacy is kindness, hard work, provider, humor, friend, husband, and father. If you wish to send flowers, you can send to Boice Funeral Home. The family asks for flowers or plants that can be planted out in their parent’s rose garden in the spring to honor their parent’s love of gardening.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Daniel Giles Ball Jr., Darin Douglas Ball, Gary L. Baughn, Gerad L.Baughn, Michael Boren and Jose Ramon Urias.
