Denise Marie Serrano fought a sudden and incredibly difficult battle with Cancer. Her cancer progressed rapidly and on December 13th, 2025 she peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior. She ran her race with faith and courage, and she took her final breath at home, surrounded by her children, wrapped in love until the very end.
Our mother loved fiercely and unconditionally, was full of heart, fearless in conversation, and showed up for anyone who needed her.
She was a proud and devoted mother to her three children, Drea, Andrew, and Jacob, and a loving Wife to her late husband, Andy. She cherished her children's partners, thanking God daily that her children found their soulmates and true happiness.
This was the fight of her life, and she didn’t give up easily, especially knowing she had four beautiful granddaughters and another grandchild on the way. She longed to watch them grow, to witness their first steps, their baptisms in Christ, and all the milestones still ahead.
She spent countless hours talking with her dear friends about how much she loved her family and how proud she was of each one of them.
Our family was not prepared for such a sudden and devastating loss. Losing our mother so close to Christmas has filled our hearts with profound sorrow, but also with peace, knowing she is reunited with Jesus and her beloved Husband.
Denise is preceded in death by her Husband, Andrew (Andy) Joseph Serrano Sr., and her Father, Dale Jacob Terry. She is survived by her Mother, Gloria Terry, her daughter, Andrea (Drea) Clark, her two sons, Andrew Joseph Serrano Jr. (Jamie), and Jacob Martin Serrano (Monica) and her grandchildren. Her sister, Debra West, her sister, Leslie Martin (Karny), and her sister Renee Birmingham (Wallace). Along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren, compadres, and comadres.
As our dad always said, it’s never goodbye… it’s “I’ll see you later!”
Until then Momma, Rest in Paradise with Dad!
We love you beyond words, with all our hearts and souls.
