Just found  out Passing  of" Doctor " Donald Myers" My Deepest  Condolences " To All Family and Friends,  He save my Life in which  I had a Extremely  Fatal Automobile accident " Which I was Amalance  to Philadelphia  from Willingboro NJ, 7-17-1981, [[ R.I.P  ]]

Words of grief I just don't have. Expression of my heart will always be wonderful thoughts,  I now realize my dear friend Donald will be a memory, a fond memory  to always treasure and have. My deepest condolences to his wife, daughters, his Dad, brother and his sister ♥️

I worked for Don when he opened his "handmade by Don Myers" office at Washington Square.  I'll always remember his industry and know-how (he climbed up a pole and restored telephone service to his neighborhood in St. Croix after a storm) completely aside from medicine.  As a physician, he was incredibly skilled, and he was also able (and willing!) to put himself into his patient's shoes and this caring informed his treatment.  As a "boss",  he wasn't, well... bossy.  And, as has been mentioned elsewhere on this page - great singing voice!  So very sad for someone like him to leave this world so early.   I'm so sorry for your loss, Shelley  and your girls, who I've not met but have no doubt are beautiful and kind.

I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Myers. It’s been over two years and I am just finding out. I worked with Don in his Philadelphia office as his medical transcriptionist. That was my first job entering the medical field and I learned a lot from him. He was an amazing boss and friend. Our times in the office felt more like a family environment. We spent plenty of days with his wife Shelley, Leilani, Serena & their family dog not to mention the many times he closed the office and took us out to dine lol. He was an amazing surgeon who was loved by many. I would like to send my deepest condolences to Shelley and the girls ❤️ Love Shaheeda 

It is now April 3, 2021 and I have found out almost 2 yrs later than my sincere friend and financial planning client, passed away at 67.
He moved with Shelly, and his beautiful daughters to Fresno, Ca . Philadelphia and St. Croix in the Virgin Islands. My relationship with him and Shelly and the girls was one of sincereity, and a strong bond of caring and trust. He introduced me to many of his doctor associates/friends on St Croix and staying with he and his family when I went to St Croix was unbelieveable happy memories I will never forget. I did not know of his illness, even today I don't know what it was.Yet his was a great friend and we will meet once again as the Lord will bring us together. Shelly, my heart goes out to you and the girls. 

I knew Don when he was a medical student still and worked at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was the only person I ever had a devastating severe crush on, because he was sokind sweet and genuinely nice. I am so sorry to read of his passing.

I had the privilege of being one of Don’s Professors at Jefferson Medical College. He was a bright, and energetic student who made invaluable contributions to my research program by designing and building sophisticated electronic devices  that allowed us to make measurements not otherwise possible. News of his passing has come as a shock, and I offer my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his family.

Dear Dr. Myers. Just heard of his passing!!.He was a genuinely kind person. I worked as a P.A. for him at UCSF in neurosurgery. Before I relocated to another state he took me aside and gave me encouraging words and sound advice.  Despite the busy surgery days that we had if I had a question or concern he was always patient, ready to teach, or  take time to listen.  He would always have a smile. Praying for the family's comfort and peace in knowing he is only resting and not in pain. May his dear wife, kids and family have the hope of seeing him healthy again when Jesus returns in his second coming!

I just heard of Dr Myers passing today. 12 years ago he saved my life I can walk and talk because of his skills he spent 10 hours picking bone fragment out of my spinal cord. He by far was the best doctor I've ever had he had kindness compassion and he called me a spaz!  RIP Dr Myers thank you for saving my life and always Lifting me up. My condolences to your family I just wanted to let them know that I think you're a hero.

Don was a wonderful person and extremely talented neurosurgeon. We would keep in touch at the meetings. He was very important in my life as he was my teacher and friend. I have many fond memories of Don. I was heartbroken to find out about his illness and more so about the passing of this extraordinary person. I am deeply sorry to hear of his passing and my warmest condolences go out to his wonderful family.

Dr. Myers was an exceptionally great person. I met him when he came to work for Kaiser Permanente. I enjoyed working with him. He was very kind, thoughtful and down to earth. I enjoyed conversing with him especially about the many places he had traveled to. I'm sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family on the loss of such a wonderful person. May he R.I.P.


I was honored to work with Don in the OR on the Neurosurgery Team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. I will always remember Don’s incredible surgical prowess, his humor, his kindness and his beautiful singing voice. I’m sad to hear of his passing but I’m sure he was greeted in Heaven by his mentor, Dr Jewell Osterholm.

A great surgeon. He was my chief resident when I started at Jeff. Great teacher. We will miss you. RIP. Condolences to the family.

Dr. Myers was a very special person. We were  introduced to him in Whistler, B.C., at a CRMC Symposium. We thought he was going to be arrogant and pretentious given that he was Chief of Neurosurgery. Not only was he down to earth, he was kind, thoughtful, a great conversationalist, and a lot of fun. He became a friend who we greatly admired. He had a zest for life that was infectious. His accomplishments were impressive.  We did not see him as much after his move to Kaiser , but he always remained our friend who we will never forget.  We miss him, and social functions are not the same without him. Our heartfelt condolences to the Myers' family on  the loss of such a wonderful person. We grieve with you. Godspeed, Dr.  Myers.
