Mr. Edward P. Kearney passed away on March 20, 2011, the first day of spring. He was born in Henderson, Nevada, on September 22, 1955, but lived most of his life in Fresno, California. Edward graduated from Clovis High School in 1973, and from Humphrey's School of Law in May, 1980. He worked for the IRS as a lead financial assistant for 20 years, until his retirement on January 14, 2011. Edward's hobby was his military war games club, and he had many good friends who participated in this activity with him almost every weekend. He also enjoyed watching the Raiders football games.
Edward is preceded in death by his father, John Perry Kearney.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Kearney, and his two sisters, Geri Suliman and Sandra Kearney. He is also survived by his half-brother, Perry Kearney and his half-sister, Peggy Gastelum, all of Fresno.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Clovis at 929 Harvard Avenue.
