

Francis Gerald Di Falco, of Clovis, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the age of 91. Frank was born in Long Island, New York, to his parents Salvatore Di Falco and Anna Puccio Di Falco, both of Italian descent from Palermo, Sicily, Italy.
Frank was known for his warm heart, dedication to family, and unwavering commitment to his country and community. His life was a testament to his passion for service, family, and integrity. Frank will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.
A devoted husband, Frank shared a remarkable 71-year marriage with his beloved wife, Rosemarie. Together, they built a life full of love, support, and shared experiences. Frank was a devoted father and grandfather, and family was everything to him. His dedication to his children and grandchildren was immeasurable, often putting their needs before his own. He will be remembered for the twinkle in his eye and the nod of approval that conveyed his love and encouragement.
Frank's life was defined by his distinguished career in the United States Air Force. He achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E-9), the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force, during his time with the 144th Fighter Interceptor Wing of the California Air National Guard. Over his illustrious career, Frank served both as a full-time air technician and a traditional Guardsman, and he played a pivotal role in the maintenance of the aircraft engines that kept his unit safe. Chief Di Falco's leadership and expertise were crucial to ensuring the reliability of aircraft engines, many of which flew missions over the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Frank's dedication to excellence contributed to the 144th Fighter Interceptor Wing's victory at the 1980 "William Tell" Worldwide Weapons Competition, where the unit took top honors among competing fighter units worldwide. His leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to safety made a lasting impact, and many pilots credited him with ensuring their safety during flights.
Those who worked alongside Chief Di Falco remember him as a friendly, competent, and highly respected man, who always made time for others. His legacy of leadership, camaraderie, and dedication to excellence continue to inspire those who knew him.
Francis is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie, his children Susan, Steven, Robert, Anna Marie (Tim), Gina Sommers and Michael (Robin), and his grandchildren Tyler, Christa, Christopher, and Micah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky, Clovis, California 93612, followed by a Celebration of Life at Pardini's Restaurant, 2257 West Shaw, Fresno, California 93711.
